The ICPD25 Summit in Nairobi created unprecedented momentum to advance sexual reproductive health and rights. Against this background, UNFPA Uganda and its partners undertook interventions to support Uganda’s quest to invest in Human Capital Development as a key strategy to advance the country’s development aspirations as spelt out in the National Development Plan. In our implementation, we took deliberate effort to ensure that the various dimensions of Uganda’s demographic dynamics and diversity are integrated in planning and budgeting, while ensuring that the basic reproductive health needs and rights of people in humanitarian contexts are met, so that no one is left behind.
