Psychosocial support is a very important component in Gender Based  Violence response that provide appropriate care, protection and social integration. However, psychosocial support has been a major gap in the National GBV Framework  specifically to address trauma, isolation and stigmatization. There have also been challenges in accessing appropriate support services offered by different duty bearers and service providers. These guidelines therefore, provide minimum standards and procedures for duty bearers and service providers, to provide appropriate psychosocial support to victims/survivors of GBV in Uganda.
