As a key strategic focus for the Government, a mechanism to systematically guide the process of harnessing a demographic dividend was developed–the Demographic Dividend Compliance Tool. The purpose of the compliance tool is to establish standardized criteria that measure the extent and contribution of sectors, ministries, departments and agencies and local governments towards achieving a demographic dividend. This compliance tool also provides mechanisms to guide and facilitate sectors, ministries and departments, and local governments to prioritize interventions in their plans and budgets that trigger the demographic dividend.
