The National Male Involvement Strategy for the Prevention and Response of Gender Based Violence in Uganda

With support from UNFPA, The Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development developed the National Male Involvement Strategy for the prevention and response to Gender Based Violence in Uganda aimed at engaging men and boys to become change agents in their communities and workplaces, promoting peace and security, mitigating conflicts, protecting the rights of women and girls, sensitising their peers and ensuring victims/survivors receive appropriate services.

Multimedia Strategy Against Gender Based Violence

Developed by the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development with support from UNFPA, this multi media strategy is part of the overarching National Policy on Action Plan to Eliminate Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Uganda.  The Strategy will guide the campaign to prompt communities as well as those in positions of authority, to change their behaviors and improve their knowledge, attitudes and practice related to GBV.
