Uganda is currently experiencing humanitarian emergencies that call for urgent action to provide relief to the affected populations so as to save lives and alleviate human suffering. The UNFPA Country Office is one of the agencies called upon to support government when emergencies strike. In line with UNFPA mandate and the SPHERE standard for humanitarian response, the Country Office responds to ensure that the Reproductive Health of the affected population is adequately catered for and the dignity of women is restored. One of the critical activities to this end is the distribution of dignity kits to the affected population.
In light of the above, UNFPA hereby invites qualified firms to supply and deliver the dignity kits to various refugee camps. The detailed Request for Proposal document can be accessed by clicking the link below.

The bids shall reach UNFPA’s reception no later than 21 st May 2014; at 3.00 pm. Bidders shall submit sealed bids in an envelope clearly marked “BID for Supply and delivery of Dignity Kits” (for hard copies) and an e-mail for electronic copy. Electronic bids shall be submitted to e-mail address: [email protected] Bids received after the stipulated date and time shall not be accepted under any circumstances. Bids delivered through courier and post later than the due date shall not be registered and shall be returned unopened.
