Uganda has made significant strides towards achieving its demographic dividend, a key aspiration of Uganda Vision 2040. Key to note is that the demographic dividend is dependent on having a healthy, educated, and skilled and employed population, which can only be achieved by making targeted investments in critical sectors like health, education, and employment creation for the youth. Despite the progress made, the report identifies key gaps that require urgent attention. This report serves as a vital tool in guiding stakeholder efforts to close the identified gaps. By addressing the shortcomings identified in maternal health, family planning, and GBV, we can better position Uganda to harness the demographic dividend.
